This product is a performance tune to suit the Holden VZ and VE 3.6L V6 series of cars including Commodore and Calais models fitted with both standard (175kW) and high output (190kW). Unlike some others available on the market, this tune has been developed using data collected from numerous dyno and street tunes that we have performed to provide a significant power increase for these engines.
The tune is provided to you via a miniature programming device we send to you in the mail which once the process is complete you return to us for a refund of the required deposit (see below). Alternatively you may keep the programming device to enable you to switch between standard and performance tunes with ease. Alternatively if it better suits your needs you may send us your ECM to be re-programmed.
Huge Power Increase!
When used in conjunction with a good exhaust system, typical power output that can be expected is 200kw on standard models and 220kw on models fitted with the High Output engine with significantly increased torque across the rev range. The results are achieved through the recalibration of both ignition timing and fuel mapping. The end result is a noticeable performance increase that pushes you back in your seat. Fuel economy should not be affected through the use of this recalibration and in some circumstances an improvement in fuel economy can be seen.
Improved Electronic Throttle Mapping!
In addition to the outright power gain provided we have also remapped the electronic throttle control on these vehicles to provide a much more responsive feel. Our investigation found that when the vehicle was stationary and 100% throttle applied, the throttle body was only opened to 60% and ramped on very slowly as speed was built. This is the much of the reason why these vehicles are known for their sluggish performance from factory despite their impressive factory figures.
Easy To Install Yourself & Zero Vehicle Downtime!
Tuning is now provided using a small programming device which we send out to you in the mail. An additional deposit of $650.00 is required for the programmer which is refunded upon completion and return of the programmer to us. Detailed installation instructions are provided with the programming device and telephone support is available if required. This process allows tuning with zero downtime to your vehicle. Alternatively you can send us your ECM for us to re-program if that is easier.
Switch Between Standard and Performance Tunes With Ease!
If you choose to keep the programming device we won't refund the required deposit however this will enable you to switch between standard and performance tunes with ease. This can be of assistance when dealing with Holden in regards to future repairs particularly with brand new cars. Please let us know if you wish to keep the programmer so we can provide the suitable files for switching between tunes.
Customised For Your Car!
When you purchase a tune from us we first discuss what modifications your car has and modify our base tune to best suit your vehicle. This increases performance and reduces the risk of damaging your vehicle.
Optional Automatic Transmission Tune.
For an additional $100 a tune can be provided for the vehicles Transmission Control Module (TCM). The performance is noticeably increased by raising the RPM at which the transmission shifts at keeping the engine in its optimal HP range for longer. Also through increased shift pressures we have improved transmission shift time & firmness therefore improving the performance and feel of the vehicle. Want More Power?
More power can be achieved through the use of other performance parts such as a cold air intake (around 5-10kw) and a full exhaust system. The dyno graph depicts a car that had an exhaust and extractors fitted. We sell these items and more and also offer performance packages which provide discounts if you wish to purchase several items.

A deposit of $650 must be made on top of the final price to ensure the safe return of the supplied programming device. Once this is returned the $650 will be refunded. You can choose to keep the programmer if you wish although the $650 will not be refunded. The $650 deposit is available from our other items.
When running these high performance tunes we recommend you try run a minimum of 95 Octane Premium Unleaded and where possible 98 Octane. Although it is safe to run standard 91 Octane unleaded if other alternatives are not available, it is advised that you should avoid heavy acceleration to protect your engine.
